giving Back-The Ultimate way of Recycling

Another thing that the PWAP project aims to accomplish, if you haven’t figured it out yet-is that we try to give back in more ways than one.  We try to give our participants a gratifying and educational experience, and in return they give us humility and many smiles and memories.  We also try to reuse and recycle the materials used in our vase-making.  The flowers donated by Whole Foods may be a day or two too old to sell to the general public, but to us, they are perfect-so instead of Whole Foods having to discard the flowers, we turn them into something amazing.

It's a daisy type of day!

Elizabeth, another volunteer helps Anne and Beth glue the twigs to the cans

A side project, stick man!!!
Ewan's first day back after his trip to Thailand
He not only helped with vases, he borrowed my camera for my own photo session!
The pictures of roses below were taken by Ewan!

The picture of the rose stem is very beautiful-Ewan has a real eye for taking pictures!
And of course, in keeping with the way of the ARC, Ewan recycled the broken rose stem by placing it in his hat as a fashionable accessory!

The end of the day is always such a work of (recyclable) art.
