Fall is in the air… and in the flowers. As restaurants and coffee shops begin to offer pumpkin and cinnamon-spice flavors, the Petals with a Purpose class has noticed the change in season by the change in flowers. Brilliant red, yellow and orange species have appeared in the mix of flowers donated from Whole Foods.
The autumn-colored flowers will not only go to the usual receivers of arrangements, but also to a couple of special events. On Sunday, some of the twig vases created by Petals class participants were displayed on various tables at Festifall, Chapel Hill’s annual art event. Petals’ creations were also displayed at a conference located at Extraordinary Ventures about the Civil War.
